Strong demand for hotels in Cabo is expected to remain steady due to multiple events expected to take place in the Mexican beach town throughout the month. This has resulted in average rates per night for Los Cabos hotels staying above $400. Despite bad weather and an earthquake that occurred near San Jose del Cabo this weekend, the first major fishing tournament of the season, which traditionally kicks off Los Cabos’ high season, was able to take place. These high-profile events tend to bring more tourists to the area and drive up hotel prices.

According to local sources, the Los Cabos Hotel Association’s goal is to achieve Cabo hotel occupancy rates above 70% for the month of October. If hotels are able to meet these targets, it is highly likely that the average rate per night will continue to increase. There are currently very few even mid-level hotels below the $400 average.
